Dr. Supriya Krishnan

Specialties: Therapeutic & Developmental Optometry, Glaucoma Specialist

Dr. Supriya Krishnan is a therapeutic & developmental optometrist and Texas optometric board certified Glaucoma specialist. She employs a family-oriented approach to build long-lasting relationships with her patients. She is passionate about providing superior eyecare while focusing on overall health of kids and adults. Dr. Krishnan, raised in India, graduated with honors from one of India's top universities with a degree in Computer Science Engineering. After completing her undergraduate degree, she moved to the United States to earn an MBA, with a concentration in Finance from the University of Tampa. She graduated with honors as well. Throughout her schooling, Dr. Krishnan received several awards, scholarships and recognition. Working for a few years at a large hospital in Tampa and for Wellcare, a well known health insurance company, helped Dr. Krishnan learn a lot about the healthcare system in the United States. She then went on to earn a Doctorate of Optometry from the University of the Incarnate Word, San Antonio, Texas.

Dr. Emily Nguyen

Optometrist

Specialties: Comprehensive Eye Exams

Raised in Houston, Texas, Dr. Nguyen received her Bachelor of Science in biology from Lamar University, after which she returned to her hometown and graduated magna cum laude from the University of Houston College of Optometry. After receiving her doctorate, she completed a residency in ocular pathology at the Veterans Affairs hospital in Waco, Texas. Her experiences have allowed her to practice in multidisciplinary settings focused on the treatment and management of ocular disease, especially within geriatric populations. At Sharp Sight Eyecare, Dr. Nguyen continues to practice patient-focused primary and medical optometry.

Ophthalmic Technician

I have 5+ years experience being an Ophthalmic technician. I changed professions a little later in life due to needing a change. I really enjoy what I do now, and working directly with the patients is an absolute joy for me. I don't really have any hobbies at this time other than being there for my husband, my adult children, and grandchildren, whom by the way, are my entire WORLD. I also have an immense love for all animals, I even brake for turtles (I'm the crazy lady u might pass on the side of the road because I pick the turtle up and move it to the side of the road so it doesn't get hit)!

I've loved stepping into the healthcare field because it allows me to help others while continuing to grow in my career. Working in ophthalmology has been an incredibly rewarding experience, I've gained so much knowledge and appreciation for the specialty, and I'm excited for all the opportunities to learn and grow in the years ahead. Beyond my professional life, I'm a big fan of horror movies and anything spooky. I also have a soft spot for animals, especially cats, my black cat is a constant source of happiness (and mischief ;)

I am excited to step into the world of ophthalmology and begin my journey in the healthcare field. The world of eyecare is a newfound love of mine, but I am excited to learn anything in everything I can from it. I absolutely love what I do and getting to work with patients directly is the most fun part of my day. Apart from my professional life, I love cooking for my partner and taking care of my three beautiful fur babies, a very fluffy silver cat, Bean, a very cuddly (very large) lab mix, Peggy, and a calico who is chaos incarnate, Toast. I love putting my heart and soul into every act of service and job I do.
